I may not have explained this issue well enough.

The intention is to list key achievements on your CV very specifically. What you are not doing is giving a detail explaination of how you achieved the result. That is what you leave for the interview. My ideal CV achivement would include a date, place and figure for the result.

THe research show this approach increases the instances of a CV being picked up. I agree about the issue of vaugeness turning off recruiters and this happens mainly in interview. The training package will give you a process to answer any question with details.

Cheers

As a recruiter who has previewed thousands of resumes, I have to disagree with the "anticipation loop" section of this article. There is no bigger turn-off to a recruiter or employer than vagueness on a resume. Recruiters and hiring managers see vagueness as evidence that there is zero substance and zero past performance. Anyone can list a host of skill sets and vague achievements on their resume. Few can quantify and specify the methods by which they achieved their results. These few are the ones who get hired quickly.

However, mirroring the internal language of the organization via the job description is definitely effective, and I highly recommend it.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We got a very good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your facts. I am extremely glad to see such info which I was checking for a long time. This made us really glad!

Great post you have in here. Although I would like to add that job seekers should remember to add their significant achievements in their previous employment.

This would show the employer what value you can bring on board with them once they hire you.
