As you stated, it can be risky, but it saves getting “done over” resulting in regret and ultimately, self blame and stress. I too dislike bullies and have been a victim of them many times in my life. In recent times though, I have successfully overcome these problems by choosing to no longer manifest or behave as a victim. The outcome has not always been perfect, however, I’ve chosen to take action to ensure I don’t lose focus on what is best for me.
