Within hours I received an email deconstructing one of the sneakiest techniques that I have. This has me so excited that I am writing this at home at midnight so I can post this out for the morning. Below is the deconstruction and how you can use this very powerful technique to draw your audience in.

The way I have used them is not particularly big or clever but it might give you a few ideas about how you can structure them for your work and I wanted to have a bit of fun putting them out for you to find.

He has caught me, completely and totally. I love it when this happens because it gives me the opportunity to deconstruct a very powerful technique. I am so excited about this one I am sat at home writing this up at one o’clock in the morning because I know I won’t get the opportunity tomorrow (I fly to New York the day after and there is lots to get done first. We can still squeeze an extra on the course though if you want to apply)
What Paul has spotted is the fact that I have created a subject line about one thing but before I have told you about it I have started talking about something else. If I do this skilfully enough people will read the material I want them to read because they are searching for the resolution to the original statement that I made. You might want to read the headline and first paragraph of this article again with this idea in mind.
Before I explain how you can master at least five different ways of using this skill let’s make sure we know how powerful this technique is. This concept is a foundation to get any audience, group or individual to really listen to what you have to say.
You could use that in; sales with a client, as a parent with your children; teachers and trainers talking to classes, managers with their teams, presenters with an audience…in fact anywhere where you want someone to listen to you there are several different ways of using this base principle to get people to listen to you.
And once you have mastered the concept you can use this technique to draw and bind people over time or as loops to create a trance induction. You can use it with metaphor design to make it completely covert. There is even the opportunity to embedded commands in the middle of patterns that induce amnesia so you can get people to do things and they don’t even realise they have been told.
