NLP Resources: Finding people that speak the language
There are many places where you can find out more about NLP, whether you are new to the subject and want to know what is involved with NLP Training or you’re already a practitioner and you want to find practice partners and develop your skills.
One place I highly recommend you look is the free NLP resource site at NLP Connections.
NLP Connections has a huge following. Many of the best trainers and NLP Luminaries hang out there as well. You can see me there occasionally as well, but don’t let that put you off.
You can use NLP Connections as a Facebook-style site to find and keep in touch with other people interested in NLP. The site also has a forum and guides to help you choose a good NLP Training.
One of the great things about NLP Connections is everyone is welcome there. Sometimes NLP gets split into too many factions but at NLP Connections you’ll find the president of the Society of NLP, leaders from the Association of NLP, ABNLP, INLPTA and more - all working together. It’s a good place to get a whole range of views on a whole range of NLP subjects.
NLP Training: finding the best for you
I wrote an article a few months back about how to find the right NLP Training for you and one of the things I have been asked about since writing the article is where can I find out more about trainers, their training companies and the results they achieve.
I recommend you ask on the NLP Connections Forum about specific trainers or courses you are interested in. You will usually find other people who have already been on that particular course and these people can give you unbiased feedback about what the training is like. Many trainers also use the forum, so you might get to talk to them direct and maybe get a discount that way too.
Beyond NLP Practitioner Courses
Keeping up your skills, developing new ideas and approaches, finding like minded people to talk to. These are all issues that NLP Practitioners face…and again a forum like NLP Connections may well help.
