I have just had a brilliant email from Mark demonstrating some very skilful use of various patterns from The Persuasion Skills Black Book. I have posted the email in full so you can see Mark’s patterns, but before I show you the email I want to point out the something else that Mark is doing brilliantly here.

Seeking Opportunities to Practice Persuasive Techniques

One of the ways of dramatically improving your persuasion ability is to take every opportunity to practice. As you will see in the email below Mark has found a great opportunity to practice his skills and help his wife. Not only this but he obviously had to construct these patterns in the moment, has done a great job of it and got a brilliant result. Mark’s embedded commands are in brackets.

Hi Rintu,

Having just read over half The Persuasions Skills Black Book, I would agree with you that commitment in improving your skills is the aim here and would add that also focusing on opportunities to use these skills, wherever possible, will make me a more complete person.

As I said to my wife a few nights ago, who was fretting about a work meeting coming-up “Just imagine being able to (feel comfortable) knowing that you can handle any situation at work where people initially don’t wish to do what you ask. And as I’m talking about this, perhaps you’re beginning to realise (you have many options) in dealing with people. And if you were to think of your meeting next week, notice how (you can find a solution) to any potential difficulties that may arise .. or perhaps they may not. I mean, let’s face it, honey, in the past you’ve had difficult meetings and you’ve always got through them.”  

I could tell my wife was calming down after that as she stopped breathing as quickly as she had been and her face was not as flushed.

So thanks Rintu, I find the commitment to use these skills enjoyable and would add that the anticipation to use them is most invigorating. Indeed, I’m sure that my skill levels could and will increase even further with the receipt of a free persuasion skills download, because let’s face it, you and I both know the issue isn’t whether I receive a free download, but to how many I can sing your praises.
