Using NLP Persuasion Techniques for Good

I have had an email concerning the use of The Persuasion Skills Black Book and thought it was worth putting on the blog.

Using NLP Persuasion Techniques to do things against your will?

“Your book is about getting people to do things against their will and I think that is wrong…” B Mitchell Thursday 18th

This was one line of a tirade of abuse from a person that clearly has not read the book and I guess he was trying to manipulate me into withdrawing it from sale.

Persauasion for Win / Win Situations

My approach is about using the patterns from The Persuasion Skills Black Book to move people in a direction that is useful for them and for me i.e. creating a win / win situation.

The tools demonstrated in the book are just tools. Like all tools they can be used with good or bad intent. A car is a useful device when used well and with good intent. When driven or used badly it can be a very dangerous thing.

When you use these tools I hope you will use them wisely, with good intent and to help you and those around you. But I will not set out to censor this material on the chance that people will use it badly…there are already people out there using this sort of material in harmful ways and the more people know about these techniques them the more opportunity there is to protect yourself from them.

Interestingly, I find that the people that are the most vociferously anti this sort of material are the ones that are desperately trying to impose their will onto others. Usually taking the moral high ground, imposing their judgements and telling us how we should think. I can’t help wondering if they were to learn a few persuasion skills they might gain some personal power and let the rest of us lead our lives in any way you choose.

NLP Persuasion and Personal Power

The Persuasion Skills Black Book shows you NLP Persuasion Techniques that you can use to dramatically improve your life and the lives of the people you care about. This is my intention, but your results are entirely your responsibility.
