Persuasion Skills Black Book Reviews on Amazon

Here are just a couple of the reviews that have appeared on Amazon for The Persuasion Skills Black Book.

One of the Best NLP Books in print, 13 April 2009

Persuasion Skills Black Book, by Rintu Basu is an singularly unique, useful and all around excellent addition to the extensive library of information available on NLP.

Rintu not only presents excellent and highly applicable techniques derived from NLP as well as providing pertinent examples of how to use them in and for a wide variety of situations.

His real skill is demonstrated in his use of NLP’s methodology of describing and demonstrating the language patterns he is teaching while using them as his tool to effectively teach them, it’s brilliant. Likewise he uses NLP to teach NLP, making the learning cycle seamless and integral to the material being presented.

Rintu equally does a very good job of piquing the reader’s curiosity as to the information he is about to present, and then using that heightened curiosity to guide the reader’s learning and easy implementation of the material.

His suggestions for the reader and practitioner to use them for at least 10 minutes daily, with different people and environments, is a highly effective way of integrating the techniques into both conscious and unconscious learning. And of course, he describes ways to have fun with it all!

I feel this book to be an excellent tool for NLP Practitioners, Trainers, and Sales Professionals as well anyone who would like to improve their lives by implementing excellent communications skills with themselves and others on an ongoing basis.

Here is another review that is on the Amazon site.

Learning from the Black Book , 18 Mar 2009

My experience with the book has been that I’ve got far more from it than I expected.

Every area of life, whether in interaction with others or your own internal dialogue, involves language and persuasion skills, making this material applicable to every situation. I received the book, 126 pages which break down a large and complicated area into small, simple chunks that are easy to understand and apply immediately in the real world. The emphasis on practice, the presentation of the material, and many other factors combine to take you to a point where the material impacts your thoughts and actions, which means that daily communication is never quite the same again.

In the book it is said that the skills can be learned with a daily time commitment of just ten minutes. While I agree this is possible, I found I was spending longer in order to learn and practice the skills. One thing I would like to have seen was a concise list of all patterns covered at the end, with a brief description of each, for an at a glance reminder.

The issue isn’t necessarily being given the patterns and conversation models, but how they are given, in order to make them straightforward to use, which is exactly what this book achieves.

Persuasion Skills in Sales

Here is a testimonial for the first part of the Persuasion Skills Black Book Master Training Programme and how it relates to sales.

From: Hippocrates
Received: December 2008

Dear Rintu,

Congratulations! Your first two sessions in the programme were extremely enlightening and practical.

As a sales trainer, I have been searching in several applications of NLP for sales people. Most material i get is sophisticated with high theoretical value but not practical for “field people”. So when I got into your book I was waiting to get “another theory”. Instead both first lessons have a simple (but not simplistic) practical approach which to my opinion can perfectly fit to sales people. In fact, i suspect that high flyers in sales are instinctively using some of them.

I look forward to the explore the rest of the programme.

Kind regards

Hippocrates

The Persuasion Skills Black Book Master Training Programme is a five week download programme including audio and video presentations that complements and expands the information from the book.
