Dangerous Hypnotic Persuasion Patterns

NLP Langauge Patterns that will Make Your Toes Curl

Here is a review of two books containing some of the most dangerous patterns I have ever seen on the internet. One book is full of patterns so dark that I will not use or field test them. So why would I offer them to you?

NLP Thought Police

Firstly, I see real value in being able to see these patterns and modifying them for gentle and ecological pursuits. There is a lot of learning to be had in both documents as I will outline below and I will not censor the material I offer just based on my personal values.

A Caveat or Two

When you see this material you might be tempted to use some of the darker patterns in the way they are described. Looking through them I am certain if delivered correctly they will work. I would urge you to do something different and modify them for good win / win situations. I have been doing exactly that over the last few days and will be sharing some of my findings with my inner circle of APP Students in the next few weeks.

Whilst I believe these patterns will work I also believe if you misuse this sort of material or use it to harm people they will eventually notice. The net result is you will lose influence, integrity and friends. And the situation may get even worse than that. So with that in mind I highly recommend you get creative, modify these patterns and deliver win / win solutions for everyone around you.

Forbidden NLP Language Patterns

My friend Jack Ellis has a quite brilliant and very scary product that I have finally got round to reading and reviewing called the Forbidden Patterns. It contains two ebooks.

The first is Forbidden Patterns, a book of some of the darkest NLP Language Patterns and Hypnotic Scripts I have ever seen. And trust me I have walked a lot of dark paths whilst developing my skills. The second is a bonus ebook called Cult Control and is a step by step instruction guide on how to build a cult following.

Both books are excellent and on their own would be great value for money, but together they are a suburb buy for any student of Hypnotic Persuasion Techniques. Let’s look at each individually.

Forbidden Secrets - The Dark Side of Hypnotic Language Patterns

This is a very short book with no frills, fluff or chat. It is essentially a book of hypnotic seduction scripts but does contain a few more “dark” scripts including patterns to install paranoia, illness and compulsive attraction.

The scripts are short, precise and easy to use right off the bat. Most are a little too strong for me as they stand. But have been a rich source of ideas and I am developing all sorts of new patterns for lots of different applications based on some of these core ideas.

These patterns are not for the faint hearted, nor are they for complete beginners as Jack really only supplies the patterns and some basic talk through. He leaves it up to you to work out how they work. That said it is very straight forward and if you have been through some of my material you will find it easy enough to cope with.

Don’t let the brevity of this ebook fool you. I am going to be months looking through, modifying and trying out patterns based on this book. The content of this ebook is pure gold dust for any persuasion skills student.

Cult Control

This ebook is amazing. It describes various types of cults and gives you step by step exercises to start growing a cult of your own. This could be anything from some weird religious scam through to a more normal group of hobby enthusiast or fans of a particular product.

I think this book is very useful both in the extremes, showing you some of the nasty tricks used by evil cult leaders and in the more useful, ethically applied patterns to form a cohesive team or generating goodwill towards your products and services.

If you have been to any of the large Personal Development Seminars run by the big gurus or have been watching the New Age pseudo science Big Secret do nothing to Attract the Universe you will see all of their tactics revealed. I spent hours on some of their websites with this book to hand just laughing at how well they have applied cult control tactics.

The book contains sections on how to start, developing themes and ideals for your cult and how to recruit. It defines different types of cults and Jack shows you how to apply personality profiles (NLP Metaporgrammes for the NLP JArgon Junkies) to cults. All of this is valuable material for any group that you are thinking of forming (these ideas apply to normal groups and teams as much as the bizarre).

It then goes on with sections about developing your leadership skills, giving sermon like hypnotic presentations and dealing with objections. These sections are text book NLP Language Pattern material. They are clearly explained and easy to understand because you have this very obvious application to illustrate how to use these skills.

I certainly got a lot of ideas from this book and can see me applying a lot of the information in it. There are many things here I can see will be useful in the way I develop my customer base and promote my products. The idea of building a small cult dedicated to developing their persuasion skills to do some good around the world through others (why develop your persuasion skills otherwise) also appeals, so who knows how many weeks or months I will be using this book. You can find both books here.

And Finally…

Every persuasion student should have these two books in their library. There is so much great information in both and you will be using, developing and playing with this material. But remember this material is best for those that have at least a passing knowledge of how NLP Language Patterns work and are prepared to learn even from the less savoury of sources. Well, I bought the Forbidden Patterns book. I found it very disappointing for $39.95. Very sparse, and a certain amount is just not believable. And of course riddled with the usual spelling and grammatical errors that seem to plague writers in this field.

But boy oh boy, did Jack Ellis hit the ball out of the park with the Cult Control book! Holy crap. Well worth double the price!

I’ve been involved in self-improvement retreats and Amway and the professional side of organized religion, and it seems Jack has penetrated all of the defenses of such organizations and reveals all!

He is absolutely right on about recruiting, indoctrination, and retention of members. Made me want to run right out and start my own cult. Every ingredient necessary is right there.

And if you don’t want to start your own cult, at least you’ll recognize immediately what is happening to you when you set foot in something like Pathways or a similar workshop where they will make you tired and emotionally drained and confront you and disorient you and feed you their dogma.

This book is astonishingly great and will amaze you with its insights into every type of organization, from religious to fraternal to commercial. Wow, what a great find!
